If so, New Mexico Junior Wrestling is looking for you.  Be part of the most successful wrestling league in the State of New Mexico.

For the low cost of just $18.00, you will earn membership in the months October thru March.

New Mexico Junior Wrestling is home to 24 teams throughout the State.  We hope that the information provided below will assist you in pursuing your interest in wrestling for your child.

1. Most team registrations take place in the month of October.  Almost every High School has a Junior Program.  You will find a directory by clicking on the "Coaches" page.
2. Although NMJW only requires a fee of $18.00 per athlete, your team of choice will require their own fees in addition to the NMJW $18 fee.  Those fees are known to cover uniforms, insurance, banquet costs, and in some cases tournament costs.  Team registration fees on an average cost $100-$150 per athlete.
3. Teams also determine their practice schedules once their High School schedules have been established.  The average Junior Program may run their practices three days per week  from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
4. The NMJW season is a long season, however, parents are asked to keep their child's interest in mind when scheduling tournament participation.  If you have a child who is 6 years old, then you may want to monitor their interest and maybe limit the number of tournaments they attend.  Although NMJW's goal is offer a positive environment for children, competitive physical skills are built during the athletes participation in our league.
5. Although NMJW does not determine school zones for athletes, we do encourage athletes to be part of  the team in which they will attend High School.
